At Massawe Adventures we pride ourselves on being part of the local community and as such, we like to “give back” to local causes. We are Tanzanian nationals and are a family-run business with a great deal of experience in safari tours and many local connections. As such we are in a fortunate position to be able to offer Voluntary work experiences based in and around the towns of Moshi and Arusha helping with community projects and providing educational opportunities.

We offer several flexible itineraries that can include for example a 3-day safari tour of some of our beautiful national parks and 7 days helping out in the local school or orphanage with various tasks such as maths tutoring and sports training. Another example of an itinerary may be a 5-day trek to the summit of Kilimanjaro combined with a few days helping to build a new school room or a community centre providing much-needed facilities for local children with disabilities.

Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity to experience the true heart of a country, meet new friends, practice worthwhile teamwork projects, and make a difference to people who then can go on to make a difference. You can even make a difference for yourself.
